Course Description

Oracle 12c introduces multi-tenant architecture which allows you to consolidate multiple databases that helps simplify your IT infrastructure. This course is designed to help you master both Oracle non multi-tenant architecture and Oracle multi-tenant architecture.

Oracle Multi-tenant is next-generation cloud ready database!

Oracle Container Database (CDB) acts as one big container that enables consolidation of multiple Pluggable Database (PDB). Each PDB acts as a normal standalone database and requires no code change at the application level. Creating, cloning, moving pluggable databases is done via simple SQL statements and it just takes few seconds.

Oracle Multi-tenant is the foundation for Oracle Autonomous Database!

Oracle's new architecture change offers time saving for Database Administrators too. To upgrade all pluggable databases, you simply upgrade the container database. To upgrade a single PDB, simply unplug / plug the pluggable database into a container database of higher version and upgrade the PDB.
